Telephone enquiries usually get a
more immediate response
than with e-mails, and also tend to take precedence over on-line
reservations, but if you reach our answering service please state
the
dates that you wish to stay as well as your name and number,
and
if accommodation is
available
on the dates you require then you will receive a reply
or text message as soon as possible.

Important
- before you reserve online:
We only accept bookings of two nights or more at weekends
and three nights
or more at Bank Holidays
unless of course a shorter period becomes available in between other
bookings - so it's still
worth phoning us to find out - especially at the last minute!
Please also note that there is a supplement of £6 for Saturday night only should a one night vacancy become available.
In addition any single occupancy at a weekend or Bank Holiday
is subject to our double
occupancy rate unless otherwise agreed with us.
Also please
note that even although a room may appear vacant on-line, an earlier
telephone booking may have been taken for that room before the on-line chart
could be updated and so the room may not
actually be available. Therefore please wait for
our e-mail
which
confirms your booking to be absolutely certain that your booking has
been accepted. Until such time, no deposit will have been taken from your card account.
We
reserve the right to cancel any booking that does not comply
with these conditions
Payment...
A minimum deposit of £60
(or the cost of the first night's stay)
is required to
secure all bookings.
We accept all major debit
and credit cards -

There
is no charge for using debit cards but for credit card transactions we
charge an extra £3 per transaction.

Cancellations...
Once you have booked your stay our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable.
In the event of a
cancellation we will
endeavour to re-let the room for all of the nights which have been
booked, and if successful we will refund the deposit less a £10
administration fee. However if we cannot re-let the room for all of the
nights booked, then the deposit will be forfeit and whoever made the booking will be
liable for any losses incurred by us. We therefore strongly recommend
that you take out some form of travel
insurance against any unforeseen circumstances which may
prevent
you from taking your holiday.
Miscellaneous
info...
- Guests may park their car either on the
drive
or in the layby just outside.
- Cyclists and motorcyclists can use our
large lockable garage where they may leave their machines overnight for
complete security.
- Free WiFi connection is
available.
- Packed Lunches are available if ordered
the
previous evening, and consist of a round of sandwiches, chocolate
biscuit, soft drink, and fruit priced at around £4.
- We have an extensive collection of maps,
books
and guides to the area which our guests are free to borrow.
- We
can offer a lift to the start of your walk
if your route is linear rather than circular. Simply make arrangements
with us in good time, and we will drive you to the start of your walk
having previously parked your car at the finish, where it will be
waiting for your collection at the end of the day.
- Regretfully we cannot accept
pets as we have three of our own.
- Well
behaved children
over 12 are very welcome.
- We
only accept bookings of 2 nights or more at
weekends, and at
bank holiday weekends bookings
are accepted for 3
nights or more only. However if a single
night vacancy does become available for Friday or Saturday we charge a
single night supplement of £12.
- We
normally expect guests to arrive between 5pm & 7pm but if you
wish
to arrive outside of these times we can nearly always make other
arrangements - just let us know within a reasonable time.
- Check out time on the day of departure is
10
a.m.

If you
require a minicab we would strongly recommend booking in
advance
especially if it is needed at weekends.
