The Garden . . . The garden was once derelict, but we cleared and planted it out some years ago and it is now a quiet place and full of life.In the past it was home to a blacksmith`s workshop, taxi and bus service, pigsties, cow sheds - even a gentlemen`s hairdressers! We
deliberately left some areas of the garden to
grow wild and we have been rewarded with visits by many species of
birds, frogs, bats,
dragonflies and various other insects many of which have successfully
bred here.

We think we have succeeded creating a relaxing, friendly atmosphere in the house as well as the garden which our guests are welcome to enjoy, as our visitors' book seems to suggest:
"Very warm welcome - felt like home - thanks for your hospitality." Erik & Mariette, Gent, Belgium"Very friendly and warm environment, homely, excellent.". Paul & Leslie, Marple |
