is close to many pubs, cafes and restaraunts. Our nearest pub is
The Anglers Rest which is in the centre of Bamford village.
October 2013 The Anglers Rest was purchased by the community under the
government's Localism Act in order to save it from development.
The pub building now houses not only the pub but also great little cafe
called The Rest which welcomes walkers and cyclists. The pub also houses the local Post Office
which was under threat of imminent closure.
Anglers Rest community pub provides real ales and good food at reasonable prices in a
traditional pub setting, and the adjoining cafe is a comfortable place to escape
for a coffee or tea break during the day whilst
visiting the village. There is often something going on in the evenings
at the pub, from live folk music evenings, regular quizzes and
occasionally a disco along with other regular live bands.
